Ancient world history
Schedule: Wednesdays 12- 2pm for 12 weeks, 9/5 - 11/28 (No class on 11/21)

This challenging course will bring the fascinating story of the ancient world to vivid life. Utilizing engaging hands on projects we will deepen our understanding by bringing the stories of the people, places and movements alive. Students will weave together strands from geography, mythology, art, music, poetry, engineering, dance and drama to integrate the meaning and importance of this time period. This semester will include the study of primary source material and other important literary works of the time. Maps, timelines and outlines are incorporated into student’s weekly work and students are expected to perform research and write reports. By the end of this dynamic course, students will be able to draw connections from our readings, lectures and projects to the continuing story of our world.
