This rigorous survey course will teach United States History with a focus on the various cultural, political, social, religious, and economic developments that have shaped and continue to shape the United States. The analysis will begin with the American Revolution and continue through to World War I. Students will learn how to use primary source materials and read literary works of the time. Maps, timelines and outlines will be incorporated into student’s weekly work and students are expected to perform research and write reports. By the end of this dynamic course, students will be able to draw connections from the readings, lectures and projects to ongoing governing systems and have an active understanding of the role of history plays in our present and future lives.
This class is best suited for ages 13-17.
The $100 deposit goes toward the full tuition cost of $325. This full tuition cost covers all materials associated with the 12 week class running Jan 28th - May 6th.
