Advanced Beginner: glass flameworking

This series of four, two-hour classes will begin by refreshing safety and previously learned skills. Then, mentored by our award-winning glass steward, students will be introduced to more advanced skills, learn to design, troubleshoot, and create independent projects.
Due to COVID concerns, we're unable to incorporate glass blowing, but all other solid sculpture special projects are acceptable and encouraged.
Classes are limited to two students per class. Properly worn masks are required for all students and instructors (and any member in the space) for the entire time.
This four-week program runs February 23 and March 2, 9 and 16th A non-refundable deposit of $75 will hold your place and go toward your full tuition of $250.
Molly Jackson is Technocopia’s Glass Shop steward and instructor. She studied Flameworking at The Worcester Center for Crafts. Since 2003 her glass jewelry has been featured in international and domestic magazines (Vogues, Women’s Wear Daily, Harper's Bazaar, Glass Quarterly, Modern Bride and many more), runways from Manhattan’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Week to Osaka, Japan, celebrities (Britney Spears, Ozzy Osborn and more) and sold in boutiques around the globe. 2015 brought her into a new venture of glass sculpture and installations. Most recently her pieces were accepted into the “Now! New Works, New Artists” exhibit.
