Board Of Directors
Lauren Monroe serves as President to Technocopia and is one of the founding members on our Board of Directors. Lauren was the founder of Worcester Think Tank, a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) educational center established in 2008 and one of the three founding organizations that moved to form the present makerspace Technocopia downtown today. Lauren oversees many of the operations and programs, mentors staff and volunteers, and participates heavily in the organizations grant writing and reporting. Lauren received a BS from UMASS Amherst in 2002. Before Worcester Think Tank and Technocopia Lauren spent a lot of her time traveling and teaching science abroad and in Massachusetts, in alternative, non-profit, and private schools. In her free time, Lauren enjoys singing and song writing, traveling, and spending time with her family.
