This fun and challenging course will bring the fascinating ancient world of Early Crete to the Last Roman Emperor to vivid life. Students will weave together strands from lectures and projects in geography, mythology, art, music, poetry, engineering, dance, and drama to immerse themselves in the meaning and importance of this time period.
This course will include the study of primary source material and important literary works of the time. Maps, timelines, and outlines, are incorporated into the student’s weekly work and students are expected to perform research and write reports. By the end of this dynamic course, students will be able to draw connections from our readings, lectures and projects to the continuing story of our world.
