In this class students will be introduced to basic woodworking skills and safety as well as practical executive skills and project management. Students will complete 2 projects (a bird house and a custom tool box) they craft themselves with skills learned through the class. The following skills will be introduced:
- project and design planning
- wood material knowledge (where it comes from, how it grows, how it moves)
- creating and designing stencils
- fit and finish
- working with limitations

The following tools will be used:
- hand saws
- power drills
- combination square
- jigsaw
